Expertise events are the organisers of Oz Comi-Con so think of GG as a gamers exclusive Oz Comi-Con. The Showguide and website schedule will have all the details of our activities and events 2 weeks out from each event.

GG is going to be a large, fun and busy event. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and staying hydrated. We also recommend bringing some spending money to shop all the cool, nerdy, or unique products our exhibitors bring in! You are very welcome to bring your own food, but there are also lots of food outlets and cafes onsite for you to grab something there.

You sure can! Please make sure you see the crew at the door and grab a wristband if you need to exit and return at any point.

Yes! We have a cloaking room located in the information booth at each event. The cost of cloaking items is $2 for small items and $5 for large items.

There is a separate complimentary cloak room for Platinum Ticket holders in the Platinum Lounge.

No. Carts, luggage on wheels, and empty strollers will NOT be allowed during show hours. Exhibitors needing such items for legitimate business purposes will be allowed access at the opening and closing of business each day. This is a safety issue and no exceptions will be made.

SAFETY AND ACCESSIBILITY

GG is held at ICC Darling Harbour which is an accessible location. If you would like more information please visit – https://iccsydney.com.au/about/venue-information/accessibility-and-inclusion-for-visitors/

Find the nearest GG staff member or security guard and we will help you locate your missing party. We suggest identifying a central location upon entry for your group to meet should anyone become lost. Please ensure all children have their parent/guardian’s phone number written on their wristband.

If you’re hurt, reach out to the nearest GG staff, crew or nearby security and we will assist you in getting you the help you need. GG always has medical and security staff onsite for your safety.

Please bring all found items to the information booth. Items found will be recorded and held there until the conclusion of the event.

If you realise you have lost something after the conclusion of the event, please contact the event venue.

EVENT POLICIES

Tickets to GG are non-refundable. We are not issuing refunds for change of mind to attending. In the case of the event being postponed due to Covid, tickets will automatically roll to the new dates. Change of advertised guests due to work commitments or other circumstances does not qualify for ticket refunds. Every effort will be made to replace the guest. GG will only provide refunds in the following instances:

  • You have purchased an autograph or photograph for a specific celebrity who is no longer attending. You will be refunded the value of that token only (not your entry ticket to the show).
  • You have purchased a special/VIP ticket that is specifically for a named celebrity and that celebrity is no longer attending (this does not include Platinum/Priority or other tickets that give more general access to celebrities). You will be refunded the value of the ticket package.

COSPLAY AND PROPS

Cosplay is a performance art where participants dress up in costume to represent a character. Cosplay is welcome and encouraged at Oz Comic-Con and Generation games, but it is not required for entry.

You can dress up as whatever character you like at Generation Games, as long as it doesn’t break any of our prop policies and is suitable for a family-friendly event. Head to our Cosplay Prop Policy page to read what is allowed and what is not. Failure to follow this policy may result in your removal from the convention without refund.

We look forward to seeing your awesome costume! Unfortunately we cannot pre-approve cosplay props. Please visit our props policy on our website using the button below. If you are still unsure after reading through those specifications, please see our staff at the Props Inspection Booth onsite at the show and they will be able to confirm this for you. If your prop is acceptable, they can tag it so you can bring it on to the show floor; and if not, we can store it in our cloakroom for you for the remainder of the show.

GAME GUIDES EVENT CREW

It's dangerous to go alone, that's why we need you as part of the Generation Games Crew!
